Software components, data sets, fonts, images, models and content all arrive under licences, and only the first is usually tracked.

The inventory has to be generated rather than remembered, because nobody knows the full list.

Each attribute is one of the framework’s shared types. What a date is, and how it is written, is defined once for the whole model — the note here says what it means in this particular place.
