What it is
Axes are drawn from the assumption register: the items that are both uncertain and important. Two axes give four futures, of which two or three are usually worth describing.
Choosing axes that are genuinely independent is what stops the scenarios collapsing into optimistic and pessimistic.
The smallest level
The attributes it carries
Each attribute is one of the framework’s shared types. What a date is, and how it is written, is defined once for the whole model — the note here says what it means in this particular place.
