The cadence

How often each report goes out, and by when after the period ends.

The part

What it is

The lag between period end and report matters as much as the frequency. A quarterly report arriving eight weeks late is a historical document.

Cadence should be set by what the recipient can act on rather than by what is easy to produce.

The smallest level

The attributes it carries

Each attribute is one of the framework’s shared types. What a date is, and how it is written, is defined once for the whole model — the note here says what it means in this particular place.
