The tested response
What happens when supply breaks, and when that was last actually rehearsed rather than written.
The deliverable
What it is
A continuity plan that has never been run is a document rather than a capability. Rehearsal is what converts one into the other.
Rehearsals reliably find the same things: contact details that are wrong, an approval nobody can give quickly, and an alternative supplier who cannot actually deliver at volume.

A tabletop exercise takes an afternoon and finds most of what a real incident would. It is the cheapest resilience work available.
