Attribute · People

Person

A named individual, as distinct from a team or a role.

The type

What it is

Accountability does not divide. A goal assigned to two people advances only when both happen to have capacity, and one assigned to a department advances only if someone volunteers.

The attribute exists to make that impossible to fudge. A field that will only accept one name is a design decision, not a limitation.

How it is recorded

One name. Where a role would be more durable, use Role instead rather than listing both.

Examples

  • The owner of a tactical goal
  • Who approved a statement
  • Who can invoke a stop condition

The usual mistake

Entering a team name. It reads as an answer and functions as a blank.
