The decision

Whether the gap is being closed, tolerated, or is still undecided.

The part

What it is

A tolerated gap is a legitimate outcome, provided it was chosen. Recording it as tolerated is what converts a quiet inconsistency into a known trade-off.

Undecided is also an honest state, but one with a date attached — otherwise it becomes permanent by default.

The smallest level

The attributes it carries

Each attribute is one of the framework’s shared types. What a date is, and how it is written, is defined once for the whole model — the note here says what it means in this particular place.
