Individual discounts look reasonable; the aggregate frequently does not. Only the record makes the aggregate visible.

It also reveals whether discounts concentrate in a segment, with a seller, or at a point in the quarter — each of which calls for a different response.

Each attribute is one of the framework’s shared types. What a date is, and how it is written, is defined once for the whole model — the note here says what it means in this particular place.

The actual reduction, which aggregated is the realised-price story.

Approved by
Makes patterns by approver visible, which is usually the fastest correction.

Timing shows quarter-end clustering, which is a process problem rather than a pricing one.
