The confidence

How much weight the finding can bear, stated rather than implied — because an unstated confidence is read as certainty.

The deliverable

What it is

A finding presented without a stated confidence is read as certain, because that is the default reading of a number in a presentation.

Stating confidence also allows it to be checked later, which is how analytical judgement improves rather than merely accumulating.
