The approvers
Who has to say yes, and how many of them.
The part
What it is
The number of approvers multiplies elapsed time rather than adding to it, because each one’s availability has to coincide with the piece being ready.
Most approval chains are longer than anyone intended, and each link was added for a reason that has usually been resolved since.
The smallest level
The attributes it carries
Each attribute is one of the framework’s shared types. What a date is, and how it is written, is defined once for the whole model — the note here says what it means in this particular place.
