The questions

The few things that would settle whether it is real — written in advance, answerable in a day.

The deliverable

What it is

A full assessment takes weeks. Three or four questions settle most opportunities in a day, and the full assessment is then run only on what survives.

The questions should be written before an opportunity arrives, since writing them under time pressure produces the ones that are easy to answer.
