The conditions
What has to become true, separated into what the organisation controls and what it does not — because a vision resting entirely on the second is a forecast.
The deliverable
What it is
Every vision depends on things being true that are not true yet. Listing them converts an ambition into something that can be worked on or, occasionally, recognised as impossible.
The controlled and uncontrolled split is the one that matters. A vision depending on a market shift is a legitimate bet and should be named as one rather than presented as a plan.

What it is made of
Each element is a constituent part of the component. Follow one to see the attributes it carries.
The control
Whether the organisation can influence the condition.
3 attributes: Control · Confidence · If it does not hold
Learn
A vision with no identifiable first step is not connected to anything, however long the horizon.
The other components in reachability
The gap
The distance between where the organisation is and where the vision puts it — stated in both directions, because the size is what determines whether anyone believes it.
LearnThe belief check
Whether the people who would have to deliver it privately think it is possible — because public agreement is universal and predicts nothing.
