Leadership expectations
What leaders in this organisation are expected to do, per layer, written as behaviour that someone else could observe.
The deliverable
What it is
Leadership expectations state what the organisation asks of the people who lead in it. They are local: what one organisation needs from its leaders differs from what another needs, and a generic competency list tells neither much.
The discipline is to write them as observable behaviour. An expectation that cannot be seen being met or missed cannot be assessed, and will not be.

If an expectation cannot be seen being met or missed, rewrite it. An expectation nobody can assess is not one anybody will act on.
