The deliverable
What it is
Deal and Kennedy drew attention to rites and rituals as the places a culture performs itself: award evenings, all-hands meetings, launch celebrations, the way people are marked on arrival and on leaving. What is celebrated at them is taught, whatever the speeches say.
The calendar records the rituals that exist, including the informal ones, and reads them for what they actually signal. The dates themselves sit on the Year Wheel in the Time Core; this record is concerned with the meaning a recurring occasion carries.
