Socialisation path
The newcomer’s first weeks as a designed sequence: how they are brought in, who guides them, and what they report having learned.
The deliverable
What it is
Newcomers learn the culture whether or not anyone designs their first weeks. The path makes the teaching visible and, where it is worth it, deliberate: what sequence the newcomer follows, whom they learn from, and what they are expected to understand about how things are done here.
It starts on the first day. Recruitment and selection, including any assessment of culture fit, belong to HR, as does employment administration. This component covers only what the newcomer learns about norms, and from whom.
